Grigori Weaver is a significant character in the Call of Duty series, first appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops. He is a Soviet-born American CIA operative who undertakes covert missions during the Cold War. Weaver's father was killed during Stalin's purges, and he and his mother fled to the US during World War II. His fluency in Russian made him a key asset for the CIA's Special Activities Division. During a mission, he was captured and lost an eye to Lev Kravchenko, leaving him permanently scarred and with an eyepatch. Despite this, he remains a seasoned operative working closely with Jason Hudson and Alex Mason. Throughout the Call of Duty: Black Ops storyline, Weaver is involved in several pivotal missions, including the efforts to stop Nikita Dragovich's plot. He continues to play a significant role in later games, including serving as the commanding officer of Requiem in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and as a playable character in the zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Weaver is known for his resilience, loyalty, and combat prowess.
