Claude von Riegan, also known as Khalid, is one of the main characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and a key figure in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He is the heir to the Leicester Alliance and the leader of the Golden Deer House at the Garreg Mach Monastery. Claude appears easygoing but is actually a cunning strategist who desires to end Fódlan's isolationism and create a world that embraces diversity. He has a complicated background as the son of the King of Almyra and a Leicester noblewoman, causing him to experience discrimination from a young age. He uses the alias Claude to conceal his true identity. In the game, players can choose to join the Golden Deer and fight alongside Claude, exploring the mysteries of Fódlan. Claude's character and goals vary across different story routes, but he generally displays strong leadership and exceptional intelligence. His character design combines a laid-back personality with that of a thoughtful strategist, making him a beloved figure among players.
