Hanneman

Hanneman is a character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Formerly a nobleman of House Essar, he now serves as an instructor at the Officers Academy, teaching Bows and Reason. He possesses the Minor Crest of Indech and is 51 years old at the start of the game. Hanneman is a scholar who studies the power of Crests. He became a scholastic authority on Crestology throughout the Adrestian Empire in 1159. He had a sister without a Crest, and her early death, which he attributed to the societal emphasis on Crests, motivated his research. He aims to make Crests universally accessible, diminishing their social significance. Despite a strained relationship with Manuela, he maintains professionalism. Hanneman can be recruited by Byleth by reaching a sufficient level. In combat, he excels as a mage, with various spells. He specializes in ranged attacks and support, using Meteor for support or Silence through bow skills. While slow, he enhances combat with a Magic Bow. He can learn Brawling and use Aura Knuckles as a War Monk, though less effective. Overall, Hanneman functions best as a support mage, aiding teammates with his abilities.
