Alois Rangeld is a character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, known for his cheerful disposition and loyalty to his former captain, Jeralt. He is a commander among the Knights of Seiros and while not a formal instructor at the Officers Academy, he offers weekend seminars in Axes and Brawling. Alois was born in Imperial Year 1135 as the second son of a merchant family and was orphaned and came to live at Garreg Mach Monastery. At age 11, he became Jeralt's squire and was officially knighted at age 24. Though he's often seen making corny jokes, he is beloved for his positive attitude and eagerness to help others. In the game, if recruited during the academy phase, Alois becomes a valuable ally during the war phase; otherwise, he appears as an enemy. Alois's respect for Jeralt and his loyalty to the Church play a significant role in his storyline, making him a complex and well-liked character. He is also one of the few characters Bernadetta feels comfortable around, with his friendly nature bolstering those around him.
