Gilbert

Gilbert, formerly known as Gustave, is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He was once a knight of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, serving King Lambert faithfully. After the Tragedy of Duscur, he was consumed by guilt for failing to protect the king, leading him to change his name to Gilbert Pronislav and join the Knights of Seiros. Gilbert is a serious, pious, and polite individual who rarely shows emotion and is reluctant to talk about his past. He is actually Annette's father, but has been distant from her for years due to his guilt. In the game, while not an instructor at the Officers Academy, he offers weekend seminars in Lances and Axes. Gilbert plays a significant role in the later part of the game, especially in the Azure Moon route, where he serves as an advisor to Dimitri, helping him control his desire for revenge and guiding him towards the right path. He is a powerful physical tank, excelling in defense and strength but with lower speed and magic defense.
