An andesite wall is a building block in Minecraft, a wall variant made from andesite. Andesite walls are 1.5 blocks high and connect seamlessly with other types of walls, making them widely used for building and decoration. They can be obtained in two ways: by crafting 6 andesite walls at a time using 6 andesite in a specific pattern on a crafting table, or by directly crafting them using andesite in a stonecutter. Andesite walls can be used as a substitute for stone in building due to their blast resistance, which is the same as stone. Additionally, placing an andesite wall under a note block will produce a bass drum sound. In creative mode, andesite walls can be found in the creative inventory. Players can also obtain andesite walls using commands, such as `/give @p andesite_wall 1`. Andesite itself is an igneous rock, commonly found in large pockets underground. It can generate in the Overworld as ore blobs or naturally in coral reefs. Andesite can be mined with any pickaxe, and without a pickaxe, it will drop nothing. Besides andesite walls, many other types of walls are available in the game, including cobblestone walls, mossy stone walls, brick walls, prismarine walls, red sandstone walls, and more.
