Beacon
A beacon is a special block in Minecraft that projects a beam of light into the sky and can provide beneficial status effects to players within its range when certain conditions are met. To activate a beacon, players need to build a pyramid-shaped base beneath it using iron, gold, diamond, emerald, or netherite blocks. The height of the pyramid determines the beacon's range and the available beneficial effects. The beacon's beam can be colored by placing stained glass above it, providing a unique visual effect. Once activated, players can use iron ingots, gold ingots, emeralds, diamonds, or netherite ingots to select a primary effect such as speed, haste, resistance, jump boost, or strength. If the pyramid reaches four layers, a secondary effect, such as regeneration, can also be selected. The beacon can serve as a landmark for long-distance navigation, as well as providing useful status effects, making it a very helpful item in Minecraft.
