The Big Dripleaf is a unique plant in Minecraft, first introduced in the Caves & Cliffs update (version 1.17). This plant is primarily found naturally in the lush caves biome. Big Dripleaves are characterized by their leaves, which act as temporary platforms. When a player or other entity stands on a big dripleaf, the leaf tilts downwards, dropping the stander, and then returns to its original position after a few seconds. This characteristic makes big dripleaves an interesting interactive element, often used in parkour challenges or as decoration. Players cannot craft big dripleaves using a crafting table or furnace, and must find and gather them in the game. Big dripleaves can be placed on a variety of blocks such as dirt, grass blocks, and moss blocks. Bone meal can be used to grow small dripleaves into large ones, and also make existing big dripleaves taller. The leaves of big dripleaves will not tilt when powered by redstone, providing players with more possibilities to utilize its mechanism in the game. Big dripleaves can also be used for composting, with a 65% chance of raising the compost level in a composter.
