  • English: Birch Wood
Birch wood is a common type of wood in Minecraft, characterized by its white bark with black speckles. It is primarily found in birch forest biomes and is the second most common type of wood in the game. Typically, a single birch tree yields 5-7 birch logs. These logs can be crafted into birch planks, with one log producing four planks. Birch wood can also be smelted into charcoal. Besides building, birch wood is used in crafting other items. There are two types of birch trees: regular ones grown from saplings that are 5-7 blocks tall, and tall, rare ones found naturally in old growth birch forests, which can reach up to 13 blocks. Birch leaves always maintain the same color, regardless of the biome. The in-game birch trees are inspired by the birch trees common in Sweden, and they are also widely distributed in the northern hemisphere of the real world, with their wood often being used for furniture making.
