Block of Raw Gold

A block of raw gold is a new type of block in Minecraft, introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. It is an unrefined metal block equivalent to nine raw gold. Blocks of raw gold can only be mined with an iron pickaxe or better. It serves as a compact way to store raw gold and can be crafted back into raw gold. Piglins become distracted by a dropped block of raw gold and become enraged if a player breaks one near them. Raw gold blocks can be found in the Creative Inventory or crafted in Survival Mode using nine raw gold at a crafting table. It cannot be smelted into a gold block. Each version of the game has a specific ID for the block, which can be used in commands to spawn the item.
