Bubble Coral is a purple type of coral in Minecraft, which is a living block. It can exist in block, fan, or regular coral form. Bubble coral is typically found growing in coral reefs within warm ocean biomes. In Survival mode, players need to use a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch to mine bubble coral; otherwise, it will only drop dead bubble coral. Bubble coral blocks cannot be crafted; they can only be collected by finding them in warm oceans and mining them with a Silk Touch pickaxe. Bubble coral is alive in the water, and if it is out of the water, it turns into dead gray bubble coral after a few seconds. Dead bubble coral can be collected with any pickaxe. Bubble coral can be used for building and decoration, and it can also be placed under note blocks to produce bass drum sounds. Players can also obtain bubble coral or bubble coral blocks through commands in Creative mode. Bubble coral comes in three forms: bubble coral (Coral), bubble coral fan (Coral Fan), and bubble coral block (Coral Block). All of these forms can be used as decorations and building materials in the game. In addition to natural generation, bubble coral can also be generated by using bone meal on dirt, sand, and other blocks in warm ocean biomes. Dead variations of bubble coral are also available in the game; these variations are gray and cannot be reverted to live coral.
