A Cherry Sapling in Minecraft is an item used to grow cherry trees. The methods for obtaining and using cherry saplings vary across different game versions and mods. In vanilla Minecraft, the cherry sapling was introduced in the 1.20 “Trails & Tales” update. Players cannot craft it at a crafting table or furnace, and instead, it is obtained by breaking the leaves of cherry trees, which are typically found in Cherry Grove biomes. Players need to use an axe or similar tool to chop down leaves until a cherry sapling falls and can be picked up. Cherry saplings can be found in Survival mode, or in the Creative inventory. In some Minecraft mods and servers, such as the Craftland Minecraft Aether Server, the methods for obtaining a cherry tree sapling might vary. In Craftland, Cherry Tree Saplings are made by mutating Purple Autumn Sapling and Plum Tree Sapling. Also, in Wynncraft, a Cherry Sapling is a crafting ingredient which can be obtained by defeating Cherry Treents or by finding it in loot chests. Cherry saplings can be planted on dirt, grass, or moss blocks. They require sufficient space and light to grow into a cherry tree. In some games, like Stardew Valley, the Cherry Sapling takes 28 days to mature into a Cherry Tree and produce fruit during spring.
