Chest
In Minecraft, a chest is a block used for storing items. A normal chest can hold 27 inventory slots, while two normal chests placed side-by-side create a large chest with 54 slots. Besides normal chests, there are variants like trapped chests, ender chests, and shulker boxes. Trapped chests emit a redstone signal when opened, useful for building traps. Ender chests are player-specific, with contents accessible from different locations, ideal for storing valuable items. Shulker boxes can be carried like backpacks without spilling contents upon destruction. Chests can be broken by any tool, but axes are most efficient. Chests often generate naturally in structures like dungeons, villages, and strongholds. They can also be crafted using planks. Chests can be used as fuel, smelting 1.5 items per chest. Additionally, chests can produce a bass sound when placed under note blocks.
