Composter

A composter is a functional block in Minecraft that converts biological materials like plant and food scraps into bone meal. Bone meal is a useful fertilizer for accelerating crop growth. The composter also serves as a job site block for farmer villagers, aiding them in their work. It is crafted from wooden slabs and can be broken with any tool, though axes are the fastest. The composter does not retain its contents, dropping empty when broken. To use it, compostable items are placed inside, and bone meal can be retrieved after seven layers of compost have been added. Many items can be composted, with varying efficiency. The composter can also act as a power source for redstone comparators, outputting signal strength based on its fullness. Additionally, it interacts with hoppers for automated input and output of compostable materials and bone meal. Besides these functions, the composter can also be used as fuel in a furnace, smelting 1.5 items.
