In Minecraft, a Conduit is a beacon-like block that provides powerful underwater buffs to players and attacks hostile underwater mobs. Conduits do not generate naturally and must be crafted by players. Crafting a Conduit requires a "Heart of the Sea" and eight "Nautilus Shells." The Heart of the Sea is typically found in buried treasure chests, while Nautilus Shells can be obtained by killing Drowned, fishing, or trading with Wandering Traders. To activate a Conduit, players must place it in the center of a 3x3x3 body of water and construct a frame around it using prismarine, dark prismarine, prismarine bricks, or sea lanterns. The effective range of a Conduit depends on the frame's size, requiring a minimum of 16 blocks and a maximum of 42 blocks, with an effect range between 32 and 96 blocks. Once activated, the Conduit grants players the "Conduit Power" effect, which includes underwater breathing, night vision, and increased mining speed. Moreover, a fully activated Conduit will automatically attack nearby hostile underwater mobs, such as Drowned, Guardians, and Elder Guardians, greatly enhancing underwater exploration and construction safety. The Conduit is not only a powerful tool for exploring the ocean, but also a key component for building underwater bases.
