Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks are a decorative block in Minecraft, a cracked variant of Polished Blackstone Bricks. These blocks naturally generate in bastion remnants and ruined portals, but players can also craft them by smelting Polished Blackstone Bricks in a furnace. Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks have a distinct texture, often used to build structures with a sense of age and decay, adding a unique atmosphere to player builds. The block has a hardness of 6 and a blast resistance of 1.5, with a stack size of 64. Players can quickly mine it using a pickaxe and can also be obtained in creative mode using the /give command. Cracked Polished Blackstone Bricks can be placed under note blocks to produce a bass drum sound. This block first appeared in Java 1.16 snapshot 20w15a and was added to the game with the 1.16 - Nether Update, and it is the second longest-named survival obtainable block, only behind the new Waxed Lightly Weathered Cut Copper Stairs.
