Cyan carpet is a decorative block in Minecraft used to enhance builds and create unique designs. It's a thin variant of wool that can be dyed in 16 different colors. Cyan carpet can be crafted in two ways: one by using two cyan wool blocks, and the other by using one white carpet and one cyan dye. Cyan carpet can be placed on any block, including non-solid blocks, except for air and item frames. It has a hitbox of 1/16 of a block, which prevents mob spawning. Additionally, it doesn't reduce the light passing through it, often used to hide light sources. Cyan carpets can also be used to decorate llamas, showing different patterns on their backs. In Java Edition, carpets can be used as fuel in furnaces, smelting 0.335 items per carpet. In villages, cyan carpets generate in ancient cities. Cyan dye can be purchased from wandering traders and can be used to dye sheep for cyan wool, which is further used to craft cyan carpets. Beyond just decoration, cyan carpets can be used as a covering to allow players to jump over walls and fences, while preventing mobs from passing through.
