  • English: Damaged Anvil
In Minecraft, a damaged anvil is a special state of the anvil that is not obtained through crafting but by repeatedly using a regular anvil until it degrades. In Creative mode, damaged anvils can be found directly in the inventory. Anvils are essential tools in the game used for repairing items, combining enchantments, and renaming items. Damaged anvils function the same as undamaged anvils, but with a different visual appearance and can be used as decorative blocks. Anvils gradually wear down with use, changing to a chipped anvil, then a damaged anvil, and finally breaking completely. In Survival mode, players must continually use an anvil to reach the damaged state, while in Creative mode, all states of anvils are readily available. Notably, anvils are affected by gravity and will fall like sand and gravel, causing damage to creatures below when they fall. Furthermore, damaged anvils, like regular anvils, cannot be repaired; they can only be replaced by crafting a new anvil or by obtaining one in Creative mode. They can be obtained with command codes like `/give @p minecraft:damaged_anvil` or other similar commands.
