Daylight Sensor

Original Title:Daylight Sensor

Languages:

  • Chinese: 阳光探测器
  • English: Daylight Sensor
The Daylight Sensor, also known as the Daylight Detector in Minecraft, is a block that outputs a redstone signal based on the intensity of sunlight. It is similar to a real-life solar panel, working by detecting daylight in the sky and outputting a redstone signal that varies with the sun's position. When the sun is at its maximum daylight (noon), the Daylight Sensor can activate up to 15 redstone-powered blocks. These sensors are only active when in sunlight and turn off during the night. Players can convert a Daylight Sensor into a 'night-time sensor' with a simple right-click, causing it to output a current during the night, making it easier to create lampposts and other mechanisms. Daylight Sensors cannot be pushed by pistons. They can be used as fuel in furnaces, smelting 1.5 items per sensor. During sunset, both sensor variations provide power simultaneously. This allows for complex redstone contraptions, such as automatic doors and food dispensers. In Bedrock Edition, a comparator can be used to record the sensor's activation count. In short, the Daylight Sensor is a versatile redstone component in Minecraft, enabling various time and light-based automation functions.
