In Minecraft, a Dead Bubble Coral Block is an item that cannot be crafted using a crafting table or furnace. Instead, it must be found and gathered in the game. The Dead Bubble Coral Block is a grey variant of the living Bubble Coral Block that forms when it is out of water. Living Bubble Coral Blocks are typically found growing in Coral Reefs within the Warm Ocean biome. To obtain a Dead Bubble Coral Block, players need to mine a living Bubble Coral Block using a pickaxe. When mined with a non-Silk Touch pickaxe, living coral blocks will drop dead coral blocks. The Dead Bubble Coral Block can be used as a building or decorative material. Like other coral blocks, dead bubble coral blocks can also be placed underneath note blocks to produce a "bass drum" sound. Notably, Dead Bubble Coral Blocks can generate naturally in coral reefs in Bedrock Edition, but they do not generate naturally in Java Edition. Dead Bubble Coral blocks cannot be turned back into live coral blocks and cannot be used for farming sea pickles.
