Dead Coral Fans

Original Title:Dead Coral Fans

Languages:

  • Chinese: 失活的珊瑚扇
  • English: Dead Coral Fans
Dead coral fans in Minecraft are the result of live coral fans dying when out of water. They come in five variants: tube, brain, bubble, fire, and horn. Like their live counterparts, dead coral fans are non-solid blocks that can be broken instantly with any tool, but they can only be obtained using a tool with the Silk Touch enchantment. In Bedrock Edition, dead coral fans naturally generate in coral reef structures, while they do not generate naturally in Java Edition. Dead coral fans can be obtained by placing live coral fans outside of water, where they will immediately transform into dead variants in Bedrock Edition, or after a few seconds in Java Edition. Dead coral fans can be used for building or decoration purposes, but they cannot be turned back into live coral fans. They can be placed on the four sides and top surface of blocks, but not on the bottom surface. Live coral fans break when pushed by pistons, whereas dead coral fans can be pushed by pistons, provided they are still 'supported' in their new position. Dead coral fans have unique sound effects in both Java and Bedrock editions, as well as distinct data values and block states.
