Deepslate brick stairs are a decorative block in Minecraft, a variant of deepslate bricks. They are primarily used for building staircases and other architectural structures, providing players with a unique visual style. Introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I, these stairs can be crafted using deepslate bricks at a crafting table, yielding 4 stairs per craft. In survival mode, players need to place 6 deepslate bricks in a specific pattern on the crafting grid to craft them. In creative mode, they can be found directly in the inventory. Besides their decorative purpose, deepslate brick stairs, like other stairs, assist in changing elevation for players and mobs. They also produce a bass drum sound when placed under note blocks. Deepslate brick stairs can be mined with any pickaxe; using other tools will not yield any drops. Naturally generated deepslate brick stairs can be found in ancient cities in the game.
