Deepslate bricks are a brick variant of deepslate in Minecraft. They generate naturally in ancient cities, along with cracked deepslate bricks. Deepslate bricks can only be obtained by mining them with a pickaxe; using any other tool will result in no drops. Deepslate bricks are stackable, and have high blast resistance and hardness. They are not luminous, transparent, or flammable. They can be used to craft deepslate brick stairs, deepslate brick walls, and deepslate brick slabs. Furthermore, deepslate bricks can be used as a material for stonecutting. Introduced initially as Grimstone Bricks in the 1.17 update, they were later renamed to deepslate bricks. In version 1.19, they began to generate naturally in ancient cities. In addition to deepslate bricks, there are also variants such as deepslate brick slabs and deepslate brick walls. These can also be mined with a pickaxe, and will not drop anything if mined with other tools. These deepslate brick variants are used to make various building structures, and can produce a "bass drum" sound when placed under note blocks.
