Languages:

  • Chinese: 深层钻石矿石
  • English: Deepslate Diamond Ore
Deepslate diamond ore is a rare ore in Minecraft and a reliable source of diamonds. It is a variant of diamond ore that generates in deepslate and tuff blobs, typically found at depths below Y=0. Unlike regular diamond ore, deepslate diamond ore requires a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch (iron, diamond, or netherite) to be collected directly, otherwise, it will drop diamonds. Deepslate diamond ore has a hardness of 4.5, slightly higher than the 3 of regular diamond ore, and takes longer to mine. In Survival mode, players can obtain diamonds by mining deepslate diamond ore, and it can also be found in the inventory in Creative mode. The generation of deepslate diamond ore is often associated with underground cave systems, especially where the Y coordinate is less than 0. It was added to the game in the 1.17 'Caves & Cliffs' update of Minecraft. This ore can also generate as part of fossils below Y=0, replacing some bone blocks. Deepslate diamond ore tends to be more common than regular diamond ore due to deepslate typically generating at deeper levels.
