The deepslate tile wall is a decorative wall block in Minecraft, a variant of deepslate tiles. It was introduced in the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs update, enriching the game's building options along with other blocks in the deepslate family. Deepslate tile walls can be found naturally in ancient cities, or crafted via crafting table or stonecutter. To craft it, 6 deepslate tiles are required, placed in the first two rows of a 3x3 crafting grid. This yields 6 deepslate tile walls. Deepslate tile walls function similarly to fences, creating boundaries that prevent players and most mobs from passing. Unlike fences, walls connect automatically with adjacent walls or solid blocks, forming a continuous wall face. They can also be placed under note blocks to produce a bass drum sound. Their texture and color match those of deepslate tiles, making them ideal for building various structures like medieval castles or dungeons. Deepslate tile walls can be mined using any pickaxe. If mined with any other tool it will drop nothing.
