Diamond Ore

Original Title:Diamond Ore

Languages:

  • Chinese: 钻石矿石
  • English: Diamond Ore
Diamond ore is a rare mineral in Minecraft, primarily generated deep underground. It is the most reliable and abundant source of diamonds. Deepslate diamond ore is a variant of diamond ore that can generate in deepslate and tuff blobs. Diamond ore generates in the Overworld in the form of ore features and is more common as the altitude decreases. Diamond ore blocks have a chance not to generate if exposed to air; however, they do not have a reduced chance of generating if exposed to water or lava, making them more common on the walls of aquifers. Diamond ore requires an iron pickaxe or better to mine and drop diamonds. Using a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch will yield the diamond ore block itself. Mining with an unenchanted pickaxe will drop a single diamond, while a pickaxe with Fortune enchantment increases the number of diamonds dropped, with Fortune III yielding up to 4 diamonds. Diamonds are mainly used for crafting high-tier tools and armor in the game and are essential for obtaining resources to access the Nether.
