The End Portal Frame is a special block in Minecraft that cannot be crafted or obtained in survival mode. It is typically found in the portal room of strongholds, arranged in a ring to form the framework of an End Portal. The End Portal Frame resembles End Stone with a decorative bluish-green top and hollow rounded rectangles on the sides. Like bedrock, the End Portal Frame is indestructible in survival and adventure modes. Each frame has a chance of already containing an eye of ender, and when all 12 frames have eyes of ender inserted, the End Portal activates, allowing players to enter the End. The End Portal Frame can also be obtained via creative mode or commands, allowing players to create portals anywhere. While the frame itself cannot be moved, it can output redstone signals and be used as a note block base to produce a drum sound, giving it some redstone and musical functions.
