In Minecraft, the Exposed Copper Door is a unique type of door that is not crafted but rather obtained through the natural oxidation process of copper doors. Initially, a copper door appears shiny brown, but over time, it progresses through four oxidation stages: Copper Door, Exposed Copper Door, Weathered Copper Door, and Oxidized Copper Door. The Exposed Copper Door is the second stage, characterized by its brown appearance with green flecks, indicating the copper's reaction with oxygen. Players can find naturally generated exposed copper doors in trial chambers, or they can obtain them by allowing copper doors to oxidize naturally. This oxidation process can be halted using beeswax, preserving the copper's state. Like regular copper doors, exposed copper doors can be opened and closed by players or redstone signals, and they are also affected by wind charges. It can be mined using a stone pickaxe or better and functions as a redstone component. Additionally, in Java Edition, copper doors can form air pockets underwater, similar to iron doors. In Hard difficulty, some zombies may break copper doors.
