Frosted Ice

Frosted ice is a translucent solid block in Minecraft, created when walking on water while wearing boots enchanted with Frost Walker. In Java Edition, frosted ice cannot be obtained as an item and can only be placed using commands such as `/setblock` and `/fill`, while in Bedrock Edition, it can be obtained using `/give`. The breaking speed of frosted ice is not affected by tools. Breaking it with Silk Touch drops nothing, while breaking it in any other way produces water. Frosted ice is generated when players or mobs walk near water while wearing Frost Walker enchanted boots. Frost Walker II creates a larger area of frosted ice. Armor stands equipped with Frost Walker boots can also generate it if pushed near water. Frosted ice behaves similarly to regular ice, allowing entities to slide. It melts relatively quickly, starting with an age of 0 and ticking every 1-2 seconds. Its age increases under certain conditions, and when its age reaches 4, it turns into water. Frosted ice does not melt naturally in low light areas. Its melting speed is affected by the game rule `randomTickSpeed`. When a frosted ice block melts or is broken, adjacent blocks with fewer than 2 frosted ice blocks nearby also melt. Sugarcane and other crops are not broken when frosted ice forms, and it does not form on water occupied by another entity.
