Furnace
In Minecraft, a Furnace is a fundamental and essential utility block. It's used for smelting ores, cooking food, and processing various materials. Players can craft a furnace or find one in villages. The crafting recipe requires 8 blocks of any kind of stone, such as cobblestone, blackstone, or cobbled deepslate. A furnace works by placing fuel (such as coal or wood) in the lower slot and items to be smelted or cooked in the upper slot. The furnace emits a light level of 13 and generates smoke and flame particles when active. Besides the regular furnace, there are two specialized variants: the Blast Furnace and the Smoker. The Blast Furnace is specifically for fast smelting of ores and metal items, while the Smoker is for fast cooking of food. Notably, the Blast Furnace and Smoker consume fuel at twice the rate but also process items at twice the speed of a regular furnace. Mastering the use of the furnace and its variants is a critical part of survival and progression in Minecraft.
