Horn Coral Block

  • Chinese: 鹿角珊瑚块
  • English: Horn Coral Block
In Minecraft, the coral block is a solid decorative block that comes in five variants: tube, brain, bubble, fire, and horn. These coral blocks are naturally generated in coral reefs within warm ocean biomes. The horn coral block, a yellow variety, like the others, can only be obtained by mining it with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch. If mined with a pickaxe without Silk Touch or by hand, it will drop dead coral blocks, which are gray, instead of live coral blocks. Live coral blocks also die when out of water. To keep coral blocks alive, at least one of the six blocks directly adjacent to it must be water or a waterlogged block. Horn coral blocks are mainly used for building and decoration. They can also be placed under note blocks to produce a bass drum sound. While they cannot be crafted, they can be found in the creative mode inventory, or generated directly via command. The horn coral itself is a non-solid decorative item, which, similar to the horn coral block, can only be obtained by mining it with a Silk Touch tool, and will remain alive.
