Ice

Original Title:Ice

Languages:

  • Chinese: 冰
  • English: Ice
In Minecraft, "ice" is a translucent solid block that commonly generates naturally over water in colder biomes. It has a slippery surface, allowing entities (excluding minecarts) to slide across it. Ice can be obtained through various methods, including natural generation in snowy biomes, frozen rivers, and oceans, as well as by exposing water in cold environments. Ice blocks can be broken with any tool or by hand, but they are only obtained when mined with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch. If broken without Silk Touch, the ice turns into water. Ice is primarily used in the game as a means of transport, such as placing it under water streams to accelerate item movement, or by sprinting and jumping across ice surfaces to speed up player movement. Additionally, ice can be used to create water by breaking it when there is a non-air block underneath or by allowing it to melt. There are also other variants of ice in the game, such as packed ice, frosted ice and blue ice, which have specific characteristics like not melting or being more slippery. Additionally, the Ice and Fire MOD introduces creatures such as ice dragons to Minecraft.
