Loom
In Minecraft, a loom is a block used to apply patterns to banners. It also serves as a shepherd's job site block. Players can use various dyes and patterns to create unique banner designs. A loom can be mined using any tool or by hand, but axes are the quickest. It always drops as an item. Looms can be found in village shepherd houses. Using a loom opens its interface, which has three slots: one for a banner, one for dye, and an optional banner pattern item. When a banner is put in, a list of patterns appears in the center. Some patterns require specific banner pattern items to use. After selecting a pattern, players can preview the result and then take out the finished banner. Besides applying banner patterns, a loom can be used as fuel in a furnace, smelting 1.5 items, and can produce 'bass' sounds when placed under note blocks. Moreover, if a loom in a village has not been claimed by a villager, any unemployed villager has a chance to change their profession to shepherd.
