The mangrove trapdoor is a craftable mechanism item in Minecraft, introduced in the 1.19 Wild Update. It is crafted using mangrove planks, and two are created each time. Mangrove trapdoors function as openable 1x1 barriers, blocking the movement of players and mobs and can be used in redstone circuits. Mangrove trees grow in mangrove swamps, with unique root systems and a reddish-brown wood color, making them recognizable in the game. The mangrove trapdoor retains the color and texture of mangrove wood, adding a unique visual touch to builds and mechanical structures. Besides mangrove trapdoors, other types of trapdoors exist, such as wooden, iron, and copper, each having different characteristics and uses. Mangrove trapdoors, like other wooden ones, can be mined using any tool, but axes are the fastest. They can be placed on the top or bottom of a block and will open upwards or downwards depending on the placement. Mangrove trapdoors can be used as fuel in furnaces but with low efficiency. In creative mode, mangrove trapdoors can be found in the inventory, or generated using commands.
