Medium Amethyst Bud

A medium amethyst bud is an item in Minecraft that was added in the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. It cannot be crafted with a crafting table or furnace, instead, you must find and gather it in the game. Medium amethyst buds create distinct sounds when players walk on them, break them, place them, or hit them with projectiles. They grow on budding amethyst blocks inside amethyst geodes and are one of the growth stages of amethyst clusters. To obtain it, players need to find an amethyst geode in Survival mode and mine it with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. Amethyst geodes consist of three layers: an outer layer of tuff, a second layer of calcite, and an inner layer of amethyst and budding amethyst. Within the geode, you can find small, medium, large amethyst buds, and amethyst clusters, which are the four growth stages of amethyst. Medium amethyst buds can be found in the Creative inventory in Creative mode. In Survival mode, they must be mined with a Silk Touch tool to be obtained. Medium amethyst buds can be used for decoration, and they produce unique sounds when interacted with.
