Mud
In Minecraft, mud is a common block found abundantly in mangrove swamp biomes. Players can also create mud by using a water bottle on dirt, coarse dirt, or rooted dirt. Mud is not only used for building but also as a crafting material. For example, placing mud directly above a block with pointed dripstone underneath will eventually turn it into clay. Mud has a slightly lower block height than normal blocks, causing entities to sink slightly into it, similar to soul sand, but without slowing them down. Additionally, mud can serve as soil for various plants, including grass, flowers, and mushrooms. Mud can also be combined with wheat to create packed mud, which is then used to make mud bricks. Mud bricks can further be crafted into slabs, stairs, and walls, offering players more options for creative building. In Minecraft Earth, mud was a fluid that slowed down entities, but this feature is not present in the main game.
