In Minecraft, Nether Sprouts are a non-solid fungi block that naturally generate in the Warped Forest biome of the Nether. They cannot be crafted and must be found and gathered in the game. Nether Sprouts can be mined instantly with any tool or by hand, but they only drop as an item when broken using shears. They can be planted on nylium, soul soil, grass, podzol, mycelium, moss, dirt, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, and farmland, but cannot be placed in flower pots. Nether Sprouts have a 50% chance of raising the compost level by 1 when placed in a composter. They can be planted on various blocks like fungi and roots, but unlike other plants in the Nether, they don’t have a crimson variant. Nether Sprouts can also be generated by applying bone meal to warped nylium, which can then grow fungi and roots around the block. Furthermore, they can be obtained through commands since version 1.16. They are primarily used for decoration but also as compost material in the game. Nether Sprouts themselves are a non-solid block, and they will break if the block below them is removed or if water flows through their space.
