Oak Fence Gate

An oak fence gate is a functional block in Minecraft that combines the properties of a door and a fence. Players can use fence gates to control access in and out of fenced areas because it both swings open and closed like a door while acting as a barrier like a fence. Fence gates are crafted using oak planks and sticks and must be placed in a specific pattern on a crafting table. In survival mode, players first need to collect oak planks and sticks before crafting a gate. Once crafted, a gate can be placed next to a wall or other fences and opened/closed manually or via redstone circuits. Fence gates have multiple uses in the game, including creating entrances, building traps, or redstone contraptions. They can also be used as furnace fuel, albeit not very efficiently. Different types of fence gates (such as spruce, birch, etc.) vary slightly in appearance but have the same functionality, and all connect to any type of fence.
