The Oxidized Copper Bulb is a new light-emitting block introduced in Minecraft 1.21's Tricky Trials update. It is made of oxidized copper and therefore oxidizes over time. Oxidized copper bulbs can be mined with a stone pickaxe or better. Mining with other tools will drop nothing. Oxidized copper bulbs can be found in trial chambers in a random state (lit on or off, any oxidation). When a redstone pulse is received, an oxidized copper bulb toggles instantly between its lit and unlit states, and does not need continuous power to emit light. Its light level depends on the stage of oxidation. Unoxidized bulbs emit the highest light level while oxidized ones emit the lowest. Oxidized copper bulbs can be waxed with honeycomb to prevent oxidation. The wax can be scraped off with an axe, or the oxidation can be reverted one stage using an axe. Oxidized copper bulbs can be crafted by using 3 oxidized copper blocks, 1 blaze rod, and 1 redstone dust. The crafting recipe yields 4 oxidized copper bulbs at a time.
