The Oxidized Copper Grate is a new decorative block introduced in Minecraft version 1.21. It is a variant of copper blocks that features perforations, allowing players to see through it. The Oxidized Copper Grate has a green appearance, representing the fully oxidized state of copper. It can be crafted using four oxidized copper blocks in a crafting table in survival mode, or by using a single copper block in a stonecutter. Oxidized copper grates are naturally generated in trial chambers, typically found in the floors. The Oxidized Copper Grate, like other copper blocks, goes through four stages of oxidation: copper, exposed copper, weathered copper, and oxidized copper. The oxidation process can be halted by applying honeycomb to wax the block. Oxidized Copper Grates do not conduct redstone signals and mobs cannot spawn on top of them. They can be used for decorative purposes, adding visual interest to builds. Because they are transparent, they can be used to create visual separations while allowing light to pass through. Oxidized copper grates cannot be directly converted from oxidized copper blocks but must be crafted through specific recipes.
