Pink petals are a decorative block in Minecraft that primarily generate in cherry grove biomes. Players can break them instantly with any item or by hand. Harvesting pink petals with shears consumes the durability of the shears but provides no additional benefit. Pink petals also break if water flows over their location or if a piston extends or pushes a block into their location. Pink petals can be placed on grass blocks, podzol, mycelium, dirt, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, moss blocks, mud, muddy mangrove roots, or farmland. They are primarily used for decoration and can be crafted into pink dye. Multiple pink petals can be placed on the same block, up to a maximum of four. Pink petals can be increased in number with bone meal, up to a maximum of four. When a block has four petals, using bone meal again will cause a pink petal block to drop. Bees can pollinate pink petals like other flowers, and they can also be bred using pink petals. Oak, birch, and cherry saplings grown within 2 blocks of pink petals have a 5% chance of generating with a bee nest and 2-3 bees in it.
