Polished Blackstone Stairs

Polished Blackstone Stairs are a building block in Minecraft, a polished variant of Blackstone. They allow players to move up and down smoothly without jumping. Crafting Polished Blackstone Stairs requires 6 Polished Blackstone, arranged in a specific pattern on a crafting table. These stairs can be obtained in both Survival and Creative modes. In Creative mode, they are readily available in the inventory; in Survival mode, they need to be crafted using a 3x3 crafting grid, with 6 polished blackstone placed in a 1-2-3 layered pattern. Polished Blackstone Stairs are not only functional for building staircases but also used decoratively to create aesthetic structures. They can also produce a 'bass drum' sound when placed under note blocks, enhancing the gaming experience. They also naturally generate within ruined portals in the Nether. The ID and data values of Polished Blackstone Stairs vary across different Minecraft versions. Players can use specific commands to generate this block in the game, such as `/give @p polished_blackstone_stairs 1` in Java Edition. Polished blackstone stairs have a slightly higher hardness than their chiseled variant, and can be mined with a pickaxe but cannot be obtained by mining by hand.
