Polished Tuff is a decorative block in Minecraft, a polished variant of Tuff. Polished Tuff’s appearance matches that of other polished rock materials, having two lighter edges and two darker edges on each face to mimic the appearance of a singular large and smoother stone. It's primarily used for building and decoration. In survival mode, players need to first obtain Tuff, then craft it in a crafting table by arranging four Tuff blocks in a 2x2 pattern, yielding four Polished Tuff blocks per crafting. Polished Tuff can be found in the creative inventory or spawned using commands. Introduced in the Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials update, it naturally generates in the ceilings of trial chambers. Polished Tuff can be mined with any pickaxe; mining without one will yield no drops. It can be further crafted into polished tuff stairs and walls, and placed under note blocks to produce a bass drum sound. It is stackable up to 64 and has a hardness of 1.5. Polished Tuff serves as a crucial decorative and building material in the game.
