Polished Tuff Slab

The Polished Tuff Slab is a decorative block in Minecraft, a polished variant of tuff and a type of slab. This block features a smooth surface and has a color similar to polished tuff, presenting a dark gray with light edges, making it appear like a large, flat stone. Polished Tuff Slabs were introduced in the 1.21 update, "Tricky Trials". They primarily generate in trial chambers, often used as part of the ceiling. Players can craft them by placing three polished tuff blocks in a row in a crafting table, which yields six slabs at a time. Alternatively, they can be crafted using a stonecutter. Polished Tuff Slabs can be used in various building projects, such as floors, walls, and decorative structures. They can be combined with other tuff variants such as tuff bricks, tuff stairs, and walls to create a more diverse and attractive building appearance. Polished Tuff Slabs can also be placed under note blocks to produce a "bass drum" sound. They can be mined using any pickaxe, but if mined without a pickaxe, they drop nothing.
