Potted Fern

A potted fern is a decorative item in Minecraft, consisting of a flower pot and a fern plant. Players can craft potted ferns by placing a fern into a flower pot. Potted ferns are primarily used for decoration, and can be placed indoors or outdoors, adding greenery and life to player builds. Ferns themselves can be found in multiple biomes such as taiga, megataiga, snowy taiga, podzolic taiga, and jungle. Ferns can be harvested by hand or with shears, using shears will yield the fern itself. Potted ferns are made by placing a fern in a flower pot, which can be crafted using clay and bricks. Potted ferns can be placed on any solid block, as well as on top of fences, stone walls, or hoppers. Besides decoration, potted ferns can also be used for composting, with a 65% chance of increasing compost level when placed in a composter. While they don't have other practical functions, potted ferns are popular decorative items in Minecraft due to their decorative effect and ease of obtainment.
