The potted torchflower is a decorative block in Minecraft that consists of a torchflower placed inside a flower pot. The torchflower itself is a plant introduced in the 1.20 'Trails & Tales' update. It cannot be crafted; instead, it must be obtained by having a Sniffer dig up torchflower seeds, which can then be planted to grow into the flower. The potted torchflower retains the decorative properties of the torchflower, allowing it to be planted on various blocks like grass, dirt, coarse dirt, farmland, moss blocks, mud, and muddy mangrove roots, as well as placed inside flower pots for decoration. It’s worth noting that the potted torchflower currently has some internal data tagging issues; for example, it is not included in the `#flower_pots` block tag, which can affect certain commands, advancements, and predicates within the game. Aside from decoration, the torchflower can be used to craft orange dye, breed Sniffers, and provide pollen for bees. Additionally, suspicious stew made with torchflowers can grant players the night vision effect. Potted torchflowers are primarily used for decoration, adding diversity and beauty to the game world.
