  • English: Red Mushroom
Red Mushrooms are a type of fungus in Minecraft that typically grow in dark areas. They are a renewable resource, stackable, and can be instantly mined with any tool. Red Mushrooms can be obtained through natural generation or by various means, including breaking them in shady areas, shearing mooshrooms, mining giant red mushrooms, and finding them in witch huts. Their primary uses are as crafting ingredients, for example, in crafting mushroom stew and rabbit stew, as well as being cooked to make red dye. Red mushrooms can be planted on any solid block except for glowstone and jack o'lanterns, but cannot be placed on them, except for dirt, podzol, and mycelium. When bone meal is used, they can grow into giant red mushrooms, given a dark and sufficiently large space. Additionally, they can spread in the dark, and when planted on mycelium or podzol they can spread and grow in any light level. Red mushrooms spawn naturally in swamps, old-growth taiga, giant taiga or mushroom biomes, as well as anywhere in the Nether, particularly on the bedrock ceiling of the Nether. In swamps, they can grow on fallen trees.
