Redstone Ore

Redstone Ore is an important mineral in Minecraft, serving as the primary source of redstone dust. Redstone dust is a crucial material for crafting various circuits and mechanical devices in the game. Redstone Ore typically generates deep underground and requires an iron pickaxe or higher to mine, dropping 4-5 redstone dust when broken. If mined with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe, the ore block itself will drop. Redstone Ore emits light and red particles when clicked or touched by an entity, briefly illuminating the surroundings, though it does not produce redstone power. Redstone Ore generates in the Overworld as ore veins, available in two variants: regular redstone ore and deepslate redstone ore, the latter found in deepslate and tuff biomes. Redstone ore can also be used to produce bass drum sounds when placed under note blocks.
