Original Title:Redstone Torch

Languages:

  • Chinese: 红石火把
  • English: Redstone Torch
The redstone torch is an important non-solid block in Minecraft, which provides a dim light and acts as a power source in redstone circuits. A redstone torch emits a redstone signal on all sides adjacent to it, except for the block it is attached to, and can power the block directly above it. It deactivates when the block it's attached to is powered. It is crafted using a stick and a piece of redstone dust. In Java Edition, the unlit redstone torch is unobtainable as an item, while in Bedrock Edition, it is obtainable via inventory editing. A redstone torch can be broken instantly using any tool or without a tool and drops itself as an item. It is also used to craft activator rails, redstone comparators, and redstone repeaters. The primary purposes of a redstone torch include powering redstone circuits, activating mechanism components like pistons, and inverting redstone signals like a NOT gate. Redstone torches also spawn naturally in igloos, and multiple can be found integrated into the circuitry of ancient cities.
