Sculk Shrieker

The Sculk Shrieker is a block found in the Deep Dark biome of Minecraft, introduced in the 1.19 Wild Update. It's a unique block that produces a "shrieking" noise when activated, either by a player stepping on it or triggering a nearby sculk sensor. Naturally generated sculk shriekers can inflict the Darkness effect on players and summon the Warden after multiple activations. However, those placed by players or generated through sculk catalysts do not summon the Warden or inflict Darkness. Sculk shriekers are commonly found in the Ancient Cities of the Deep Dark biome, and are considered a rare block. In Survival mode, they can be obtained using a tool enchanted with Silk Touch; otherwise, they drop experience points. Their primary function is to serve as part of the Warden summoning mechanic, while also creating a disruptive effect for nearby players.
